CRMA-1001 is a liver-targeted epigenetic therapy developed as a potential functional cure for chronic Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis D (HDV). CRMA-1001 does not modify the underlying DNA sequence but instead uses a CRISPR-Cas-based epigenetic editor to directly methylate and silence viral cccDNA and intDNA, halting viral replication and viral antigen production.
Disease: Chronic Hepatitis B, (NCT07200193)
